Trump's internet tactics exposed by CBS, Trump quickly changes web privacy policy

Trump campaign is using best of cutting edge app technology to target large masses. He is using your Bluetooth devices to target close by Bluetooth enabled devices creating a chain that can virtually reach every carrier of a Bluetooth device. This unprecedented in political campaign strategies.

The other day I was going through my news feeds and ran across this story from CBS that was several weeks old and was blown away when I read it. The gist of the story is that Brad Parscale (Trump's web designer and media guru) has been using your devices that are connected via Bluetooth if you visit any of Trump's websites. Supposedly after CBS broke the story they discontinued using it on the Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. website but are still using it on other Trump sites.

Someone over at CBS happened to read the Privacy Policy after the news release "Donald J. Trump for President, Inc., launches dynamic new web site to provide, unique, behind the scenes view." which read "We may also collect other information based on your location and your Device's proximity to 'beacons' and other similar proximity systems, including, for example, the strength of the signal between the beacon and your Device and the duration that your Device is near the beacon,"

So here is how it works. The app gives access to phone location, camera, microphone, and storage. If someone with Bluetooth is nearby it uses your devices to send signals to those other devices for advertisement purposes. Businesses have been actively using this for awhile and it appears that it is common practice by Trump business. When you walk by their place of business their app targets your device to send advertising. The app Parscale is using uses your device to do the same thing, so instead of a place of business, they are using everyone who has visited their sites devices.

One person could stand in a room of 100 and their device could collect information about everyone around them and target all 100 with specific ads. This is unprecedented in political campaigns. They could literally target the entire US through only a small percentage of the population. It is a propaganda tactic that could have dire consequences in the wrong hands and in this writer's opinion in Trump's hands it is flat out dangerous.
My advice is that if you visit any of Trump's sites make sure that those apps are not installed on any of your devices. Russia app writers collectively used this during the last campaign to successfully spread fake news.
